First off, Angela sounds so formal. Please call me Angie, we're all friends here, right?

My path to full-time photographer is not an entirely typical one. I spent my former life in the IT business, first for Accenture/Andersen Consulting and then in my own consulting practice. I traveled a lot, worked a lot...and I was miserable a lot. If that was all there was to life, I wasn't going to make it.

So, I took a deep breath and, with a little push from a life coach, jumped, turning a life-long passion for photography into a full-time business. It's been over 7 years since I made that leap and I have never looked back.

I love absolutely everything about what I do. I love making photographs. Of anything. Of everything. Of everyone. The challenge of bringing out the beauty and sex-appeal of inanimate objects like architecture, landscapes and food is so exciting.

And I just adore the opportunity to work with people during their most special moments in life. Couples celebrating their love, parents-to-be living in that sweetly awkward, "What are we getting into?" moment. New parents in the midst of "Wow, look what we made!" Families coming together to enjoy each other.

When you want pictures of these precious times in your life, I can give them to you forever preserved just as they happened. It is, truly, the essence of life. And I bring that same passion to professional headshots and commercial work for the businessperson as well. Every moment is worth an amazing photograph.

Credentials? Yes, I have some of those, too. I am a member of the Chicago Photography Center's (CPC) Founders' Circle and serve on the Board of Directors for CPC and the Lakeview Chamber of Commerce, where I was voted the 2009 Chamber Member of the Year. At CPC, I share my passion and experience with newcomers to the art through classes and workshops.

I've been published, interviewed, and filmed for a reality TV show. I love exhibiting my personal travel work and have been featured in several gallery spaces around Chicago.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope we get to meet soon!
